When these glitches are copied into the history books (the game is saved), they can permanently mar a save file. Other glitches can be game-breaking however, preventing players from progressing in the game or ruining some element of their playthrough. In some cases, glitches may even mildly enhance the game, even if the provided enjoyment is unintended and essentially at the developer's expense. Your character might be able to stick his head through a wall due to shoddy physics, or may be able to turn in a quest without actually having completed the necessary requirements for it. Video game glitches can be found in many games and are generally relatively minor in consequence.
